I am a perfectionist, which put me a lot in analysis paralysis situations like this and I don’t want to be rude.

My choices in my mind is:

  1. Don’t do anything (that is what I currently choose).
  2. Reply back with you are welcome(I feel it’s unnecessary and it would result in a notification for the other person for no reason).
  3. Upvote the comment and move on(That is what I think is the best and I started doing it).
  4. “2”+“3”.

What is the best choice and is there is other options I missed?

Just upvote. Especially in a low traffic scenario, it will be obvious where the upvote came from.

Only reply if you have more information to add

I argue that in a low traffic scenario, it would be more helpful to respond with “you’re welcome” because it increases engagement and interaction.
