I don’t think it will be as good as the first one. That game had a unique feeling. I spent many hours trying to beat the big storm and had tons of fun. Played it over and over again many times until I finally understood how to get through the storm.

I hope this one is also difficult and rewarding, but I doubt it will be as good as the first one, now that we expect so much from it.

It means you are not afraid. Because most people are really worried about someone telling them that they are being racist, insulting, or whatever they come up with. This is technical but you could set up a wireguard vpn server and let your friends connect to your computer. Then you all look like you are sitting in your home network from the steam servers point of view.

Or just install Tailscale which makes it even easier and is free for like 3 computers.

Your friends will have a bit of lag though since all their connections have to go through your computer to the steam network. But I believe it may not be noticeable.
