I still think Mission Impossible is the best one in the series. Although the third was pretty good and the scene where Philip Seymour’s character is going to shoot Ethan’s girlfriend is the best acting Tom Cruise ever did, in my opinion. That was a powerful scene.

Maybe you’re right, I did play a LOT of Apex so maybe my brain misfired on this one, but I was playing Deadlock the other day and one of McGinnus’ lines instantly made me think “Damn, that was Commander Shepard!” I’ll have to listen closer next time I play and see if it’s really Bangalore I’m hearing.

I have the Pro version because I’m a side sleeper and their site said it was great for that. They were right! Other sleep masks I tried would come off by morning but this thing stays put. It’s really comfy.

I sound like an ad but I usually wake up as soon as sunlight creeps into the room, and this thing helps me get an extra 1-2 hours during summer, which is huge. I really love it.

I used to have some of those but found them not awesome on planes. I use Shure earbuds now, not even ‘noise canceling”, and they are better than the Bose QCs ever were. Can’t hear a damn thing in the plane except my music.

Bose were great for the office though!

I got a Manta Sleep mask on the recommendation of a friend last year and it is so, so good. I take it everywhere with me now, and use it on any flight where I need to get some rest. That and good earbuds make a huge difference if you’re a light sleeper like me.

I think you got a couple downvotes because you took the quote far too literally. The person who said it did not believe in magic and was not trying to compare a nonexistent supernatural force to hyper advanced technology. If you look up the quote I’m sure you’ll find some essays about what Arthur was getting at.

For a very simple example, suppose an alien showed up and had antigravity tech built into their clothing or even as a cybernetic implant, that let them hover around in the air with no discernible means of propulsion. The average modern human would probably look at that and think “fuckin magic…” because you literally can’t understand or recognize what is going on or how it works.

Or another example using ‘time travel’ instead of aliens. Imagine putting a medieval peasant in the back seat of a fighter jet taking off from an aircraft carrier, or in a VR helmet to experience a virtual trip around the galaxy, zooming around planets and stars. In both cases there are unfathomable things right in front of their eyes everywhere they look. They would have no fucking clue what was going on in either case. To you and me those are normal, understandable things. To the medieval peasant, it’s magic.

I doubt any statistically significant study has been done since XY females are rare. In men the adrenal glands produce only 5-10% of total testosterone. In women the ovaries and adrenal glands make most of it, so I’d expect an XY woman with ovaries to have fairly normal levels. If she has no ovaries then I’d expect the level to be low. It’s about having the organs that do the production, not about the chromosomes.

That said, people vary A LOT so you’ll find an edge case for almost anything you look for.
