I wouldn’t say he’s a source of information at all. His videos are opinion pieces. As far as I’ve noticed he rarely gives any hard numbers, or claims to know things outside of the mainstream news.
And not a monkey’s paw moment.
Btw this would be a good monkey’s paw question

I used to be what Americans call libertarian. Capitalism and free market ftw. I thought it would lead to a freer society.
At some point I understood that the consequences of capitalism lead away from what is actually my real goal - maximizing the liberty of each individual. If someone is afraid if they can afford food and housing they can’t really be free.
Now I support certain types of socialist policies with the same goal.
Have an existental crisis. I’m serious. But have a low level one, a high level will paralize you.
Move away from parents home if you haven’t already. Preferably to live alone. The feeling of having a whole place to yourself is amazing.
The shutdown of r/2balkan4you. Greatest achievement of the Balkans in decades lost because of one dumb admin
First LGBTQ people are still people they don’t have a monolithic view of the world.
Trans people usually do think gender is an important thing, that’s why they transition. And for people who do think gender is a social construct (both lgbtq and not) why would they care if someone wants to change it, it doesn’t matter anyway.
The point is in acceptance. You want to be perceived in a different role? Sure there you go.
It doesn’t matter, it’s all bs. But for many people it’s hard to exist without a script to play. If someone feels more comfortable playing a different role who am I to say no

Well said. I often think that discrimination in general is actually based on errors in what’s known as feature selection in ML.
Humans observe the world, notice certain patterns (such as between weight and sex), but then unconsciously perform dimensionality reduction to simplify their mental model of the world. Our software is unfortunately buggy.
There’s also the question of training dataset. If you always see people of certain sex in specific roles, you might conclude that’s the way it’s supposed to be.
There’s a commonly shared but apocryphal story about models recognizing cloudy skies instead of tanks because of the data they were trained on.

Same dress code, standards and rules absolutely - regardless if competition is split or not.
Same competition definitely for some sports - chess and shooting come to mind.
More physical sports - I’m undecided there. I’d support everyone competing together if for example weight categories are introduced. You don’t want people of widely different physical build competing together, it’s not fun either to watch or play.

I got convinced to “be realistic” and accept a shitty life because achieving greatness is impossible. I regret it every day, being in an environment I don’t belong to, faking it because I need to survive somehow. The worst thing is once you stop “surfing the wave” (of your own thing whatever it is) it’s almost impossible to recover and get back on the track.
Anti-depressants. I mean I know I could technically get a prescription by going to a doctor, but that requires an amount of effort I’m not capable of. If I was functional enough to put in the effort it takes to get diagnosed I wouldn’t be depressed in the first place. Depression combined with extreme social anxiety is a bitch
Usually not :) But I prefer to use to use emojis anyway 🤷 🫴 It just feels like progress, no more ascii workarounds ⬆️

Important note: just because at some point you felt attraction to people of opposite sex, doesn’t automatically disqualify you from LGBTQ
I’ve taken to calling myself “asexual”. While not technically true, since I feel the desire, at least this way people don’t try to pressure me into interactions I’m uncomfortable with.
