  • “Physical copies” is a big ask, considering they would also have to be selling the hardware to run those games.

To your credit, they aren’t actually selling most of their back catalog anymore, since their e-shops that sold games for the WiiU/3DS are closed down, and with them, the Virtual Console died. Now we’ve only got a subscription-based library to play a much more limited selection of old games.

Either way, it’s not Nintendo’s fault you pirate games. You want to play old games, and you don’t want to pay too much money for them, so you pirate them. Let’s be real.

  • It’s actually normal for a married man to lose his “separate” friends and end up becoming more family-oriented and friends with his wife’s friends. Or, if he doesn’t end up being in that group, he may end up turning towards work for some of that same camaraderie.

Your situation sucks. It’s not uncommon though. I hope that takes the pressure off of you.

30 is a bit of an arbitrary number. Maybe you could make 31 or 32 the big year, and focus on trying to find new friends (or rekindle old friendships) until then. It’s harder than it was when you were younger. But if you had friends before, you can probably do it again!

Don’t feel embarrassed about your situation. Don’t feel embarrassed about inviting your wife’s friends (as long as you actually like them, of course).

Your birthday is ultimately about you. Not putting on a show or proving anything to anyone else.

Happy birthday, and wishing you many more ahead with many loved ones. Family and friends.

while I think kids deserve at least the same quality as adults maybe even better

When we start buying that kids’ media enough that it’ll bring in as much money as other demographics’ media, and we choose to buy it based on its artistic merit and quality, then we’ll see more of that change.

But I think there’s always going to be a demand for “kids’ stuff” that’s lower quality, and I think that’s okay. Adults don’t need to enjoy every piece of kids’ media that exists.
